Once an object is removed from its original place, a new narrative commences. And, inherently linked to the removal of objects from their intended places come the subsequent issues of ownership, custodianship and the often times nebulous area of cultural appropriation. About Amber

Currently studying for the Bachelor of Arts at  La Trobe University, I am taking a major in Anthropology and a minor in Ancient Societies and Human Origins.

I have specific interests in the anthropology of material objects: namely textiles, clothing and adornment, and the anthropology of spatial design. Additionally, I am keenly interested in the anthropology of food and linked to this are my broad interests in globalisation, development, environment and trade.

Becoming an anthropologist brings together all of the things I am most passionate and curious about.
